Compare Skullcandy Smokin Buds and Sesh ANC Active earbuds across price, features, and durability to find the right pair for your daily use.
Quick answer
If you need active noise canceling and waterproof durability for workouts or outdoor adventures, choose the Sesh ANC Active. If you prioritize big, clear sound on a tight budget and don't need ANC or waterproofing, the Smokin Buds deliver impressive audio for less.
Price vs. features: where your money goes
The Smokin Buds cost about a third of the Sesh ANC Active, making them one of the most affordable wireless earbuds Skullcandy offers. That lower price means you get touch controls, EQ modes, and dual mics for calls, but you skip active noise canceling and waterproof construction.
The Sesh ANC Active costs more because it adds adjustable 4-Mic Active Noise Canceling, a fully waterproof build, and a Fit Grip design. If you exercise outdoors or commute in noisy environments, those extras justify the higher price.
Durability and fit for active use
The Sesh ANC Active is built for adventure with a fully waterproof construction and a specially designed Fit Grip that keeps the earbuds secure during movement. The Smokin Buds lack an IP rating for water resistance, so they are not suited for heavy sweat or rain.
If you plan to wear earbuds at the gym, on a run, or in wet conditions, the Sesh ANC Active is the only reliable choice between these two. For casual listening at home or in the office, the Smokin Buds' fit is fine but not locked in for activity.
